Martin Coen joined Dovetail as Chief Executive Officer in December 2006. Before joining Dovetail, Martin worked for OMX where he ran several technology businesses as well as Jiway, their Pan-European equities exchange market. More recently, he held management positions at several smaller financial technology companies, both publicly and privately held. Martin brings to Dovetail his extensive financial market experience covering equities, fixed income and derivatives trading, and transaction processing. His experience is underpinned by a solid background in technology products and services. Martin holds an MA in Natural Sciences and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cambridge University.
Paul Morris joined Dovetail in July 2007. He brings a wealth of experience in sales and marketing in the software industry for payments processing, financial messaging and middleware. He has experience in both early-stage and mature businesses, joining the payments vendor IntraNet in the early stages of its development and successfully growing the business across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. He continued to run global sales when it was then bought by ACI Worldwide to become the wholesale payments division. Paul has also held positions at Bank of Montreal, Co-op Bank, Envoy Systems, Datacrown, and Software Research Corporation.
Jonathan Valentine joined Dovetail as Chief Marketing Officer in July 2014. Jonathan brings extensive senior management experience to Dovetail in global product marketing, as well as planning, sales, change management and team building. This experience was gained principally through his long career with Visa Europe where he held a number of senior roles, including the planning and deployment of marketing activities across Europe. Prior to Visa Jonathan was with Lloyds Bank and in B2B marketing consultancy. Jonathan holds an MA in Geography from Cambridge University and an MBA from the Cass Business School.
Rick Kern joined Dovetail in April 2014. Rick brings extensive experience to Dovetail in client delivery and program management, as well as in leadership and team building. His background spans senior positions in banks as well as technology companies, both large and more innovative, including Thomson Reuters, Citigroup, Lava Trading, and NeXT Computer. Rick began his career as a Software Engineer with Sun Microsystems, and most recently he was Managing Director of Professional Services & Technical Account Management at Thomson Reuters. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of New York at Albany.
David Chance joined Dovetail in 2008. He has over 20 years experience in the payments industry and project management. David spent the 18 years prior to joining Dovetail at eFunds where he focused on corporate cash management and middleware solutions. David was at the forefront of eFunds Faster Payments initiatives, helping both UK and European Financial Institutions understand the implications of the UK Faster Payments Scheme.
Prema Wargo joined Dovetail in 2010. She has a twelve-year track record of successful eCommerce technology management, covering a broad range of new and legacy technologies. Prior to joining Dovetail, Prema worked for Princeton eCom (now Online Resources) providing electronic payments aggregation and billing solutions for financial institutions, billers and credit service providers.
Rowland Smith joined Dovetail in 2000. He is an experienced software architect, application developer and manager with more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing software solutions in the financial services industry. Specifically Rowland has over 13 years of experience in the design and development of bank payment systems, including leading successful implementations at major global banks. Prior to joining Dovetail, Rowland’s experience includes designing trading, bond analysis and electronic banking applications.
Bill Rockett joined Dovetail in August 2011. He is an experienced international CFO, with career spanning several US and UK high-tech companies. Bill brings financial leadership expertise to Dovetail and has an excellent background in high growth and transformation fintech vendors. Bill has previously held senior finance positions at Netik, Thyron and Misys.
Denise Revello joined Dovetail in May 2012. Denise brings extensive experience to Dovetail in human resources, talent management and employee engagement. Her background spans senior positions in mature technology businesses, including Hitachi Consulting and Computer Sciences Corporation, as well as more dynamic environments, including Pinnacle Alliance. Denise holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Pace University and a Masters of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Denise recently obtained an Advanced Executive Coaching Certification from Columbia University.
Richard Little has been Dovetail's Chairman since 2001. He joined the company in April 1999, initially as an investor, consultant, and Non-Executive Director. He has extensive experience in the global financial technology market and the management of entrepreneurial software companies. Richard founded Braid Systems in London in 1982 and built it into an international group. He sold the business to Mercator in 1999 where it became the International Financial Sector division. In his earlier career, Richard was a Sales Representative for Burroughs and Sales Manager for the British microcomputer manufacturer, RAIR. Richard holds an M.A. in English Literature and Oriental Studies from Cambridge University.
Urs Ehrismann joined the Dovetail Board in 2011 and is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of ViewPoint Capital Partners, an international Private Equity firm, specialized on financing software technology companies. He focuses on software technologies and applications in the financial services sector and on systems and infrastructure software. Urs has been in Private Equity since 1996, and gained extensive banking knowledge during 10 years in various positions in investment banking, capital markets, derivatives and structured finance, where he worked on IPOs, private placements, capital increases, restructurings and structured products. He is a Swiss Citizen and a Graduate of the Swiss Advanced Institute of Economics and Administration Zurich, Switzerland. He is fluent in German, English and French.
Ian Jackson joined the Dovetail Board as a Non-Executive Director in 2009. Ian brings extensive experience of large global system integrators in financial markets, including payments. Ian has worked extensively in the financial sector having started his career with IBM then serving as the Managing Director of Logica Finance in the early nineties before spending eight years with Cap Gemini leading their Global Finance Sector. He is also a Non-Executive Director of The Planet Group.
Trevor LaFleche joined Dovetail in 2010. Prior to joining Dovetail Trevor was a Senior Research Analyst at IDC Financial Insights, covering the Wholesale Banking and Payments Markets. Previously Trevor held key product marketing and strategy roles with leading financial software companies including SunGard, Misys and Temenos after starting his career with communications and transactions network provider S.W.I.F.T.
